yes, yes it is ttly worth it!! trust me i went there and we didn't have health insurance at the time but my dermatologist was kind enough 2 give us a discount %26amp;%26amp; give us these awsome cards that whatever the prescribed to me wouldn't b over 30 bucks :]

hopefully yours has some kind of deal for you as well!!!!

%26amp;%26amp; believe me you are going 2 b so happy %26lt;3Im going to see dermatologist for acne tommorrow and need help?
I had a lot of acne problems. I tried proactive and basically every other over the counter facial cleansers. None of them worked. I went to the doctor (medical doctor, not dermatoligist) and they started me with pills that would work supposedly, and it did nothing. I can honestly say any topical gel that has been prescribed BY THE DOCTOR (again, medical doctor) has worked amazing. ( retin-a, etc) Just make sure you get a good moisturizer (that wont make you break out ) because some of the topical gells can give you dry skin.

Another form of acne control is birth control. Many people are just on birth control because of acne alone.

Dont feel like you specifically have to go to a dermatoligist, even though they help also, your family doctor can do just as much. :)
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

I hope this helps. =)
this will be worth every bit of money, you can keep buying all the soap(which is a no,no and other stuff and buy the time you add them all up you will of spent well and truly over $120 before you no it,this is there specialty and they may sell you some of there brands of cleansers and moisturisers coming from someone that no's.i will give you the hot tip.buy it all because it may seem expensive at first but there products last so much longer and in the long run end up being cheaper...good luck and here's to your bright new complextion...
It's really up to you whether you want to go. I have friends who have acne and have gone to Dermatologists and it didnt do anything, but then again i have friends who did go and it worked. Ultimitely what they do is look at your skin and decide what type of skin type you have and then they pick the acne medicine that best fits the type of skin you have.
Have you tried home remedies first? I don't know just how severe your acne is. You might have a situation that needs antibiotic treatment. A natural remedy is to increase your water intake, use baby wipes (very gently as not to spread the oils around) and apply Aloe Vera gel on the breakout. You will see an improvement.
I went to the Dermatologist last week(maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago...........)

YES! The doctor will give you EXACTLY what you need for your skin. If you get Epiduo ask them to give you extra samples, because it is SUPER expensive!

He/she will ask about it, and look at it. (PS if you have any like worried moles, you can ask during that as well)

No, after a while, it won't work! (at least it didn't for me)

Good luck! 8D
I personally don't think that you should be going if you have mild acne. If you have really bad acne, go for it. However, my advice is to use proactive or neutrogena, and save that money. The dermatologist was of no help to me (i had mild acne) and she made my skin worst. Now I HAVE TO go to her, because now I started getting new problems. So the bottom line is: Don't waste your time and money.
honestly, everybody has different skin conditions.

proactiv, and neutrogena don't work for everybody.

but honestly, there are some pretty good face washes found in stores like cvs.

if you really think you need the doctor's opinion, and that nothing else is working, go for it. (:
