Moisturizers and Cleansing Agents

Another group of remedies that will help to get rid of acne is lumped together as moisturizers and cleansing agents. These agents can be natural products or more commercial type products and they are proven to be effective in acne treatment. Because many of the treatments tend to dry the skin a good quality moisturizer is important to maintain skin health. Cleansing agents that include salicylic acid are especially helpful to limit the population of skin bacteria that are a factor in the formation of acne lesions. These products used on a regular basis help to fight the symptoms of acne.

Antibiotics

In order to get rid of acne, the sufferer typically will use a variety of treatment modalities. This can occur because the level of the acne varies due to other factors. Either oral or topical antibiotics are the mainstay of many treatment programs for the condition of acne. The antibiotics attack the bacteria found normally on the surface of the skin that have been linked to their presence in the materials that constitute blackheads and whiteheads. Blue light is another way to reduce the bacteria count without the necessity of messy creams and lotions such as topical antibiotics.

Monitor Hormone Level

Another way to get rid of acne is perhaps the most complicated method. It requires taking and monitoring the results of blood tests. The theory behind hormone treatment is to reduce the level of stress hormones present in the body. The link between stress hormones and acne outbreaks is well documented. The difficulty with this method of acne control is that it required more precise monitoring to document the level of hormones so that the secretion can be fine tuned. The advantage of this type of treatment is that is often successful when other types of treatment have failed.

Nutritional Supplements

Nutrition plays a somewhat ambiguous role in the attempt to get rid of acne. While getting adequate levels of the needed vitamins and minerals required for healthy living, there is no proof that taking a particular supplement will prevent acne. You should definitely consume a diet that provides the necessary nutrients and some of these vitamins and minerals are particularly effective in providing for healthy skin. Give preference to a full and complete nutritionally balanced diet, but nutritional supplements can help to fill in any gaps in nutrition.
Here are 3 best natural cures for acne...

Cure #1 - Use honey with cinnamon. You can take 1 tsp of cinnamon powder and add 3 tbsp of honey to it. Mix it into a paste and apply the mixture only on your pimples. Leave it overnight and wash off the paste in the morning with warm water. You can also consume this paste since it works equally well from within your body to quickly eliminate many types of harmful bacteria from inside your body and can also be helpful for a host of other ailments including stomach ache, stomach ulcers, etc.

Cure #2 - Use Tea tree oil. Tea tree oil has natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties that can kill all bacteria present in those persistent zits. It can be applied on the skin with a cotton ball. Tea tree oil is in fact used in many skin-care products that are available in the market. You can also use lavender oil in place of tea tree oil.

Cure #3 - Use yogurt and oatmeal. You can mix fine oatmeal with plain yogurt until it forms a thick paste. Apply it on your face and leave it until it dries. Oatmeal acts as a natural scrub and also removes excess oil from the pores on your skin. You can then remove the paste with warm water and pat it with a towel to dry it off. You can then use any antibacterial cream or lotion to finish this process.
Doctors usually recommend an over the counter medicine for people with mild signs of acne. Topical medicine is applied directly to the acne lesions or to the entire area of affected skin.

There are several OTC topical medicines used for mild acne. Each works a little differently. Following are the most common ones:

* Benzoyl peroxide – destroys P. acnes, and may also reduce oil production

* Resorcinol – can help break down blackheads and whiteheads

* Salicylic acid – helps break down blackheads and whiteheads. Also helps cut down the shedding of cells lining the hair follicles

* Sulfur – helps break down blackheads and whiteheads.

Topical over the counter medicines are available in many forms, such as gels, lotions, creams, soaps, or pads.
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
There are a lot of things you can do before even going to the deratologist.

Don’t eat that — you’ll get zits! We’ve all heard it; from parents, friends or even the family doctor. But the fact is, even after extensive study, scientists have not found a connection between diet and acne. Not chocolate. Not french fries. Not pizza. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, “A healthy diet is important for improving raw materials for healthy skin,” but they also note that greasy or sugary foods do not cause acne.1 Likewise, a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concurred, “Diet plays no role in acne treatment in most patients…even large amounts of certain foods have not clinically exacerbated acne.”1 Of course, that doesn’t mean you should make a habit of eating foods high in sugar or fat. The skin is the body’s largest organ, so what’s good for the rest of you will be good for your skin, too. Acne Prevention %26amp; Diet - Nutrients for healthy skin. There are a number of nutrients found in everyday foods that are known to promote a healthy body — and therefore healthy skin. Get wise to these substances, and you’ll increase your chances of conquering your acne. Acne Prevention %26amp; Diet - Vitamin A. Naturally occurring Vitamin A, or retinol, is found in fish oils, liver and dairy products

The best way to deal with any skin care problem in trying to find answers to questions like how to get rid of acne is to use the naturally available cure.

The question is who knows how to use nature for this purpose. You only need to search online and you will be sure to find plenty of natural, home made remedies that answer how to get rid of acne. The best advice that you can get is to apply toothpaste on the area that is affected. Leaving it for sometime will indeed provide good results that you can be sure will be effective. After you wash off your face, you need to apply alcohol to this area. Leave it over night and you will sure witness a noticeable reduction in the amount of acne on your face.

Most of the time, your pimples might look swollen up and you can sure reduce this by applying a thick foundation cream. But be wary as this is full of chemicals that will only get your skin to a worse condition. You can apply ice packs on your skin. This will considerably reduce the swelling in your skin and make it look lively and fresh.

Another important way to answer how to get rid of acne will be to use home made mixtures of naturally available substances like honey, turmeric, tomato juice etc. These face packs that you make at home will indeed help you a great deal. You can be assured that you will not face any kind of side effects in this issue as these are perfectly natural.
There are also some good natural acne fighter you may try such as basil, neem, and tea tree oil. The advantage of these is that they not only are anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial, but they condition the skin as well. For more persistent or severe cases of back acne, a visit to the dermatologist may is necessary.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
Try lavender oil. Apply this oil on the back acne everyday for minimum 15 days or else apply fresh Aloe vera juice or the gel and wash after a few hours. When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don’t be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin. You should probably change your shirt twice a day to avoid bacteria buildup. The same way you get rid of it on your face..

You can buy body wash with salicylic acid and use that on your back.

Moisturize with a face lotion.. Its lighter and better for your skin.

Then use a spot treatment on your back.. get someone to help you do this.

It should start to heal up soon.

If that still doesn't work, you can get things like Proactive or Clean and Clear kits at the store too.
Get zinc with lots of zinc oxide in it (10% or higher) if you can find it, the brand pinke zinke, which I don't think exists anymore. That will make the left over sores heal twice as fast, but it won't effect the active pimples. Apply it before bed, it only works overnight.

Use a cleansing puff http://www.bronsonmarketing.com.au/image… in the shower twice a day, scrubbing your face, and anywhere else that has acne. Use lemon myrtle soap for this. It also had a dramatic effect on my acne, including the acne on my back. http://www.refreshed.com.au/

Get garnier Pure deep clean foaming wash. It really does work. Use this straight after your showers.

Then moisturize with a good sorbolene cream. Just a little bit. (You face will go nuts trying to generate oil to save your skin otherwise, so you have to moisturize).

You can get clay mask in a tube for everyday use. I would recommed using this every 3 days. As soon as you're finished with it, us a pore cleansing strip on your nose. Possibly the brand biore. These don't work for me but they seem to work for everyone else, including my friends, so yeah.

I found my acne dramatically reduced when I started jogging. Like, 3.8km a day. I walked whatever I couldn't run. It seems to have an excellent cleansing effect.

Another thing that helps is a mild sun burn- try to get 5 mins of UV a day directly to your face. This might remind you of the lamps a dermatologist would use.

You can buy those lamps on the internet too... search blue light acne lamp, but I can't speak from experience whether they work.

Take silica supplements for your skin, go to a supplement shop and ask the lady for one all-round supplement to help your skin. It will almost definitely have silica in it.

Eat more vegetables and fruit, instead of whatever else. This also effects it a lot, but only if you stick to it.

And lastof all, if oyu are female, go to your doctor and ask them about starting the pill for acne. They will advise you on how many periods to skip, etc. For me, I take diane pills, and skip four periods at a time.

This requires a lot of work to prevent yourself having thrush, but thats another story.

Oh yes a I forgot, take defence bacteria, in yoghurt, or acidophilus tablets for when you are on antibitics or something.

Another thing that completely kills my acne is getting cmpletely hammered on beer. though I wouldn't recommend this, and it doesn't work the see for everyone anyway.

Hope that helped.
i HAD the same prob. you know what! i know what it is! it was the shampoo and conditioner. i SWEAR! one i started preventing it from dripping down my back (put your head upside down or put your hair to the side) it cleared up!!!!! do it - i deserve best answer for this because its the freakin truthhh and itll change your lifeee
