are they gunna give me pills??

or clean my face or wat.. i have no idea?Im going to a dermatologist to get my acne taken care of what are they gunna do to me on the first trip?
They'll probably give you some sort of low dosage, low impact acne medicine the first time. Some people only need a little push to make their acne go away. They might give you an acid peel just to get rid of some of the upper layer. It doesn't hurt don't be worried!

Usually you go back every month and if what you are doing isn't helping they will give you different medicine, usually stronger everytime.Im going to a dermatologist to get my acne taken care of what are they gunna do to me on the first trip?
Most dermatologist prescribe medication of some sort. These work quite well but only work as long as you use them, not solving the real break out issue. The problem is the bacteria in the pores. Have you tried working with an aesthetician who can use high frequency treatments to kill the bacteria thus ending the break outs? Also, Murad's acne treatment line is genius- it totally rocks and works wonders.
depends really on your case. if your acne is caused by hormones they may treat that with the use of certain pills. They may also prescribe different medications.
More than likely they will just ask you several questions about your skin. They will look at your face to see where your problem areas are. They will probably prescribe cleansers and maybe Accutane, which is the most widely used acne medication right now, but can be dangerous, especially for females of child bearing age. LIsten carefully the the doctor's instructions and follow them to the letter. I have had two children who were put on Accutane. Neither of them had any problems while using it, but after being off the medication for a short period of time, their acne returned.....Hope this helps.
they will look at the effected area, maybe ask you questions like what are you using now, and then write you a prescription for acne medicine.
when i went they just looked at my face and arms. then she gave me a perscriction. i was in and out within like 10 minutes. then didnt give me any pills and they didnt clean my face. they didnt do anything that was even slightly painful. hope i helped.

The thing to remember is that acne is caused by an excess of the male hormone testosterone.

Often females are put on birth control pills in order to boost their levels of female hormones and counteract the male ones.

Both males and females who have acne are likely to have greater than usual amounts of facial hair. They should be very careful about how they remove it. For both males and females, facial hair should be removed by using a men's-type electric razor. The rotary models made by Norelco (Philishave outside the USA) are particularly gentle and non-irritant. Girls in particular are sometimes reluctant to use shaving to remove moustache growth, but any other method is likely to cause prolongation of the acne and long-term skin damage.
