a lady put me on cetaphil and told me to *** bak for a facial but im wonderin r facials only temporary and does cetaphil not work and dry your skin...so shud i go to a dermatologist stillAfter getting a facial for my acne shud i still go to a dermatologist?
Give Cetaphil a go and see if it works, different drugs work for different people.
If it doesn't after a period of 6 weeks (remember it may get worse before it gets better) then I'd go back and ask to be put on something else. Roaccutane is one of the options if your acne is severe enough, was the only thing that worked for me but it is a long term course and has had published side effects.
Still, it depends on how much it bothers you. After getting a facial for my acne shud i still go to a dermatologist?
A facial just cleans your pores out. It doesn't get rid of the underlying cause of acne. Cetaphil is just a gentle cleanser. I would definitely go to the dermatologist because they can prescribe stronger creams and cleansers and possibly antibiotics than the facialist can.
I go to her a bit regularly because these facials are temporary. Your skin will have acne once again after a few weeks, that's when you go back. I believe that the Cetaphil's supposed to tide you over till your next visit.
